PRJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” completed the modernization of the ammonium production plant

PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”, a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, completed the modernization of 1-A ammonium production plant.

“The purpose of the production plant modernization is to reduce the cost of the finished products, to ensure optimal energy and consumption parameters of equipment. The capacity of the upgraded production plant has not changed and remained at 1,700 t of ammonia per day, but its economy has improved significantly. The shareholder continues to increase capital investments in the company’s fixed assets. The key production facilities are being upgraded in order to make the enterprise more competitive,” noted Leonid Bugayev, Chairman of the Board, PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”.

In the process of modernization, pieces of technological equipment and pipelines were repaired, control and measurement and automatic devices were repaired and maintained. Some routine maintenance works were also carried out intended to extend the life cycle of key units of the production plant, special expert and technical diagnostics of devices, pipelines, gas pipelines and steam pipelines were carried out.


Divisions of all services of the production plant and the enterprise, specialists from several contracted organizations were engaged to perform the repair works.


While performing the set of works, special attention was paid to ensure the stable operations of the ammonia production unit, personnel and environmental safety.


In March 2021, 1-Б ammonia production plant was put into operation with the capacity of 1360 t of ammonia per day. In the fall of 2020, one technological line of the urea (carbamide) production plant No. 2 was put into operation (production plant capacity is 800 t of urea (carbamide) per day).


Earlier, the press service reported that Group DF invested UAH131.5 million in PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association”. The major investment projects at PrJSC “Severodonetsk Azot Association” included the renewal of the full production cycle, i.e. the launch of its own production of ammonia and urea, as well as the launch of the line for packaging finished products into big bags.
