PJSC “Azot” (Cherkasy) passed international quality management audit

In August 2021, PJSC “Azot” (Cherkasy), a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, successfully passed ISO audit by G-CERTI, an international certification body, for compliance with international standards:

 

• quality management systems (ISO 9001: 2015);
• environmental management system (ISO 14001: 2015);
• occupational health and safety management systems (ISO 45001: 2018).

 

The certification audit was carried out by G-CERTI, an international company accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS), USA. The auditors confirmed that the operations of the integrated management system (IMS) at the enterprise fully complies with the requirements of international ISO standards.

“The audit was a success, and we confirmed the international certification. Certified management system and compliance with environmental regulations is one of the requirements of our customers. Certification gives the company significant market advantage, including from international partners whose representatives operate in Ukraine. This certification confirms the compliance with high standards and technologies for the production of nitrogen fertilizers, as well as guarantee safe working conditions for our personnel. Compliance with the requirements of the environmental management system guarantees the maximum preservation of the environment. Compliance with certification terms and conditions is an additional obligation that the company has undertaken. This is a very demanding job, and we will keep on doing it in the future. We position ourselves as an advanced European chemical company that cares about the environmental aspects of production and our personnel. I reckon that the certification will allow the company to develop its positions both in the domestic and international markets,” said Vitalii Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board, PJSC “AZOT”.

According to him, while developing and increasing the production of mineral fertilizers, PJSC “Azot” (Cherkasy) every three years confirms ISO certification and passes annual supervision audits.

 

NOTE. During the certification audit, the certification body specialists check the functioning of the management systems in the areas of the enterprise activities, namely: production, equipment maintenance and repair, product quality control, hazard identification and risk assessment, identification of management measures, identification of environmental aspects and risks; compliance with legislative and other requirements; the level of personnel awareness and competence; operations management, emergency preparedness, response and continuous improvement of enterprise performance.

 

PJSC “Azot” (Cherkasy) was one of the first Ukrainian chemical companies to receive ISO 9001:2000 (quality management systems) certificate of compliance in 2005 following international audit conducted by TNO CERTIFICATION B.V. (the Netherlands).
