In Q1 2021, PrJSC “Rivneazot” produced 280,600 t of mineral fertilizers

In Q1 2021, PrJSC “Rivneazot”, a member of Group DF nitrogen line of business, produced 280, 600 t of mineral fertilizers.

Output of mineral fertilizers increased by 36.1% compared to 2020 yoy.

In particular, the company produced 13,600 t of аqueous ammonia technical, 149,300 t of ammonium nitrate, 1,400 t of ammonium nitrate (melt), 116,200 t of CAN (calcium ammonium nitrate).

The company also produced 119,700 t of technical ammonia and 191,000 t of non-concentrated nitric acid (intermediary products).

“The start of 2021 was very successful: output of nitrogen fertilizers increased by almost a third. We produced by 74,400 t more than in Q1 of the last year. We are changing the output mix. We used to produce less ammonia, though we produced more deep-processing products that were in demand. Of course, we were experiencing a gradual overall growth in the nitrogen fertilizer market and a steady seasonal demand for our main products. As the demand for calcium-ammonium nitrate has grown significantly, we have more than doubled the production of this product. The main result of the first quarter was that we had no unfulfilled contracts left, and the orders made by Ukrainian farmers had been fulfilled 100%,” said Mykhailo Zabluda, Chairman of the Board, PrJSC “Rivneazot”.

To increase shipments of finished products, PrJSC “Rivneazot” reconstructed the station for loading liquid ammonia into tank trucks. The reconstruction made it possible to increase shipments of liquid ammonia from 250 t to 1,000 t per day. This, in turn, made it possible to reduce the load on the warehouses of the enterprise and allowed to increase production and sales of finished products.

 

It is to be recalled that in Q1 2020 the company produced 206,100 t of mineral fertilizers. In particular, 91,800 t of aqueous ammonia technical, 152,400 t of ammonium nitrate, 1,070 t of ammonium nitrate (melt), 42,900 t of CAN (calcium ammonium nitrate). The company also produced 91,800 t of technical ammonia and 144,400 t of non-concentrated nitric acid.

 

In 2020, capital investments in the modernization of the ammonia workshop company exceeded UAH 84.6 million.
