In 2020, Nika-Tera sea port increased payments to Mykolayiv city budget by 8%


In 2020, NIKA-TERA sea port, a member of Group DF, owned by Ukrainian entrepreneur Dmytro Firtash, became one of the largest taxpayers in Mykolayiv region. The company paid UAH248,7 million in taxes to the budgets at various levels.

In particular, the deductions to the state budget of Ukraine amounted to UAH189.6 million, whereas the company paid UAH59.1 million to the local budgets.

“Despite the pandemic, the company not only continued to operate effectively, providing jobs and competitive salaries to the residents of Mykolayiv, but also increased by 8% the amount of payments to the local budget,” commented Mr. Alim Agakishiev, CEO, NIKA-TERA sea port. – By paying taxes in good faith, which are then returned as health care, education, road construction and social benefits, local businesses, first of all, invest in the development of Mykolayiv.”

The company did not only pay taxes but also implemented a number of social projects for Mykolayiv worth UAH3.8 million. The largest projects of the year included:

  • A project to combat the COVID-19 pandemic for more than UAH2 million allocated to procure medical equipment and individual protective gear for medical institutions in Mykolayiv region.
  • Projects for the improvement and landscaping of the city, as well as the development of sports facilities. Providing systemic assistance to the veterans and educational institutions in the Mykolayiv region.

It is worth reminding that in 2020 NIKA-TERA sea port handled 7.38 million tons of cargo, of which 75% accounted for grains, legumes and oilseeds, as well as products of their processing.
