Concern Stirol to establish new medical centre in Gorlovka

234-160A new medical and social care center will be established at STIROL Concern. A decision about it was announced by Mr. Dmitry Firtash, Head of the Board of Directors of Group DF.

The first stage of the facility construction is estimated to be completed before the end of 2012 which means that as soon as during the current year, STIROL personnel will have access to medical care at the plant’s in-house clinic.

Initially, the medical staff will consist of 14 doctors including a general practitioner, a dentist and cardiologist.

The second stage of the facility establishment includes creation of a family doctor’s ward, a clinical lab, ultrasonic examination and endoscopy rooms. To this end, a whole set of essential equipment will be acquired: a USE machine, digital X-ray equipment, an echocardiography machine. The ultimate staff is expected to count 27 medical specialists.

“In fact, it is a brand new clinic that is going to be set up at the plant. This facility will take over a lot of functions performed by the municipal health care institutions. We want it to provide services to both STIROL employees and to Gorlovka residents,” said Mr. Firtash while meeting with the concern’s board of directors and staff.

“I think that this clinic is a very important thing. By opening modern health care facilities, we are making STIROL employees’ and Gorlovka citizens’ lives more comfortable,” stressed Mr. Firtash.

The total budget of the institution construction and equipment is estimated to amount 2.7 million UAH which does not include the monthly maintenance and operation costs of the facility.

The in-house health care institution will help STIROL employees save time they would have otherwise spent referring to municipal hospitals for therapeutic, diagnostic manipulations and for regular occupational checkups.
