Istvan Goczi has over twenty years’ experience in the oil and gas industry in both Russia and Hungary, ranging from oil and natural gas to petrochemical technology. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Group DF. Since 2005 he has also been Managing Director of First Hungarian Natural Gas and Energy Trading and Service Provider Limited, known in Hungary as EMFESZ, Hungary’s leading independent gas and energy distribution company.

Mr. Goczi began his career in 1986 in Budapest at industrial company Chemokomplex. In 1988 he transferred to Chemokomplex’s Moscow office, before joining Metrimpex foreign trade company. By 1989, Metrimpex was exporting machine tools and instruments manufactured by 200 companies to 60 countries and handled the import of goods from some 30 countries. He joined Russian oil company Yukos in Budapest in 1992 as East European Director, where he coordinated an assignment for the Russian Oil Ministry to organize a new hard-currency based system in the region and to coordinate Russian crude oil supplies.

After a year managing his family business, he was appointed Sales and Investment Vice President with Sibur, a Russian petrochemical company, formulating its foreign trade activities. He was appointed Sales Director of Eural Trans Gas Limited in Budapest in 2003.

Mr. Goczi graduated Cum Laude from the Moscow Technical University in 1986, and also attended the Moscow branch of the Budapest Foreign Trade school at the same time.
