2006
In April Dmitry Firtash publicly announced that he is Gazprom’s main partner in RosUkrEnergo via his 90 per cent stake in Centragas AG.
RosUkrEnergo plays an important part in the resolution of the January gas crisis in Ukraine. The crisis was effectively solved by RosUkrEnergo agreeing to buy Russian gas at $230 per thousand cubic metres (tcm) and selling it to Ukraine at $95 tcm ($130 tcm later in the year). RosUkrEnergo could only do this because of its acquisition of much cheaper gas from Central Asia and because of the amounts it could sell to EU countries at higher prices.
2005
RosUkrEnergo commences the distribution of gas from Central Asian producing countries to Ukraine and EU states.
Emfesz obtained the licenсe to trade gas in Poland through acquisition of a trading company.
2004
RosUkrEnergo incorporated, headquartered in Zug, to ultimately take over EuralTransGas's role in gas distribution to Ukraine. The initial holdings in RUE were held 50% by Raiffeisen Investment on behalf of Centragas Holding AG, and 50% by Arosgas AG, controlled by Gazprombank. (RUE is now directly owned 50% by Centragas Holding AG and 50% by Gazprom).
Zangas Hoch- und Tiefbau GmbH incorporated to develop gas pipeline construction and infrastructure business
OSTCHEM Holding AG incorporated to hold the Chemicals businesses of Dmitry Firtash.

Emfesz, the First National Gas & Energy Trade & Service Provider Ltd., founded in Hungary following the liberalisation of the country’s energy market with the passing of the Hungarian Gas Act that year.
Dmitry Firtash acquires control of Highrock Holdings, the principal assets of which have subsequently been transferred to GDF.
Dmitry Firtash acquires Nitrofert, the only producer of ammonia and urea in Estonia.
2002
EuralTransGas founded by Dmitry Firtash securing exclusive contracts to supply Turkmen gas to Ukraine.
Dmitry Firtash acquires a majority stake in Tajik Azot, a leading producer of fertilizers in Central Asia.
2001
Dmitry Firtash becomes a shareholder in Highrock Holdings, controlled by Igor Makarov, the Head of Itera gas company. Highrock Holdings is undertaking goods-for-gas barter trade with Turkmenistan.
1993-2000
Dmitry Firtash signs his first gas transaction with Turkmenistan in 1993 and goes on to develop a substantial goods-for-gas trading business supplying gas to Ukraine.
1988-1993
Dmitry Firtash commences commodity trading business initially in Chernivtsy, Ukraine before moving his business to Moscow and launching barter trade with Turkmenistan.
